May the Force be with Me while in Cyberspace

OK, so now I am in. I was trying to comment before and still would not let me "send". Whatever.
Thanks to Claudia for being so good about putting this together. What a neat idea My computer skills are all emailing, Word Processing and some CAD stuff. This is the first Blog that I ever even read!!
A Real Blast from the past hearing from everyone. Notice that we all are far away from Wisconsin? Where is everyone who lives in Wisconsin? I have lived here in Massachusetts since l983, yet still miss the Midwest. I have a husband, Al, and two boys 16 & 14. I have a Golden Retriever and a Cat that unfortunately a Coyote ate in my front yard last month - damn Coyotes. I hate them, and anyone who as any advice on how to rid my yard of them??????
I am really SICK of my career, (Interior Designer), and would love to do something else. Anything Else. I too hae many pictures, and even though I gave most of them to Bano, (in the form of Slides, for that reuinion slid show, I have plenty to post, when I get that far in this lesson. OK, I am Publishing this now. Debbie Roberts, Marion, MA

Oh I am DYING this is so COOL!!! Yay Debbie!!

I have lived away from Wisconsin since 1985 or so. I moved first to San Francisco and then to Galena, Alaska. Then to here, Polson, Montana. There is one thing I can say, though -- I haven't missed Milwaukee much. I miss PEOPLE in my life a lot -- and I must say that my memories of everyone are quite vivid. Over the past 30 years I can truly say that I have thought of you guys often and dreamed about you even oftener.

And although I haven't missed the city of Milwaukee much, I have missed the lake. Last time in Milwaukee it broke my heart to see it, and I'm not kidding.

Thank you, Claudia Downer.

So: Did someone say slides and pictures? Did someone say Bano? Has someone forwarded all this stuff to him? I don't think I have his address...

And so, Deb -- what are you going to do next?

Signed,

Still Undecided About Her Own Career in Montana

yeah, I took my boys on a midwest road trip about three years ago, to see the sights of my youth. Took pics of them infront of various places, SHS, Miller Park, The beach, Domes etc. They were sort of bored. My youngest fell down the cliff to the Lake front at my cousins house on Lake Drive in WFB. Got 11 stiches, & it got infected during our drive back to Mass. Spent the fourth of July in the ER at ERie PA.
Bano is a cop in Shorewood I think! He has possession of all the slides from our graduation slide show. Don't know where he is I used to have his email in my old computer. Someone out there must know, he was so into SHS and involved in Shorewoood. His daughter graduated from SHS not too long ago.

It's really great to know what you all are doing out there. It would be nice to hear from more of you. I know there are lots more people reading these entries than making them. And how about some general bio info? Unlike many of you, I haven't had much--if any--contact with people from high school for literally 30 years. And what about those past reunions? How did any of you hear about them? I lived in Milwaukee until 1988--there must have been one before that--and never heard a thing. Was that a hint?

Mmm-hmm. Now you mention it, no one told ME a thing about that last reunion either, Rebecca (well...until 10 years later!) and I wasn't that hard to reach either.

Uh-huh. Yup. Yessiree.

Food for thought. Food for THOUGHT.

Yeah.

I went to the ten year 1986, never made it to the 20 year, but gave Bano the pics and donated a raffle prize. Didn't even know there was a 25 year one?

Everytime I comment someting new is the title?
Anyway, did not remember that Bano was the new Chief of Police for Shorewood ! But I think that Beth Hoffman emailed me that one time.
Impressive write up in the Shorewood Police Web site!
Wonder if he still has those 100+ slides that can be scanned somehow and posted???

Oh, and P.S. to Deb about her trip to Milwaukee with her kids: Deb, the domes bore the crap out of EVERYONE!! I think that's what they're for, in fact...remember when we were little and the field trip was to the domes? We were walking around in our sleep, as I recall!

YEAH YEAH those Domes were boring all right. We did not go in, just took their pics outside of them. Even I rememeber them being a bore.
Had many college friends with kids their age still in Wisc, so the trip was saved by visits to Door County, Noahs Arch water Park, and zillions of restaurants with kids their age.
I even forced a side trip to drive by Lambeau Feild in GB, as we all are FB fans.
It was strange, but good time was had by all.

In all fairness, I just happen to like the domes;particularily the tropical dome and especially during the winter. We have fond memories of our older daughter in the desert dome intent on climbing over the railing to conduct horticultural exploration of cacti as only a 2 year old can. I'm sure she'll never forget her prize souvenir of a cactus needle- in her butt! Hey Claudia, have you ever heard of a horse guy(I think a horse trainer) in Montana named Mark Rashid? I know Montana is a BIG state but maybe a remote possibility that you have heard of him. Maybe a big state but a small world.
Deb, where in MA do you live? You were correct in your email that you remembered my mentioning we also lived in MA. Moved there in 85 and came back in 88.
It's so good to hear that there are others of you out there who have teenagers or younger kids. In my circle it seems like I'm one of the "older parents" or other parents my age have kids in college. Some are already grandparents-yikes! Well, I've got to get ready to go teach a class.
Have a good evening!

Hey I missed something -- what do you teach, Patti?

And I have a friend who owns horses and rides with some friend of the horse whisperer -- I'm going see if she knows your friend! Maybe they're the same person...hey wait, your brother in law, is it?
Big Sky, few people!

I'll get back!
