I'd Be Writing A Gratitude Post Now, But...

I think I've got the flu. I can't stop sleeping and everything hurts.

But still I crawl to the computer to see if anyone's here.

Happy Thanksgiving you excellent people! Boy, am I glad to know you!

Claudia, this is not good! Stay in bed and hopefully you will feel better in the morning. Were you planning on cooking the big dinner?

(coughs weakly, attempts to clear throat and pathetically whispers) Oh Laurel, is that you? I can't see very well...yes, I have to get up early and make dinner for 45 people.

Nah, I'm kidding. We're scheduled to go to a potluck, and I was going to bring two kinds of asparagus, one simple with a little red onion, garlic, oil, parmesan, I think...and another with brie. And as I said to Joan earlier today, brie with anything pretty much works for me. I don't know what the heck is bugging me, but I am going back to the couch in a minute. And you are making all new dishes this year, right L?

Awww Claudia,
I'm here and hope your better soon.
You might need to go to the E.R. if it gets worse since Clinics will be closed. Drink lots of warm liquids and wrap yourself in blankets. Sending you lots of well wishes and grateful for your creation of this Blog. Happy Thanksgiving to all :)

Thanks, Martine! Robert bought me some ginger ale (I'm still choking on that first inhalation) I'm watching plenty of TV, and have a good homeopathic flu remedy. Bet I'll be good in the morning.

How many are YOU cooking for?

Lucky for everyone I dont have to cook this year, lol.
Actually everyone is all over the place so its just Hubby and me which is fine with us. Saw my Daughter and grandkids today so I got my fix, lol.
I may ask your advice in the future about Homeopathic remedies.

Claudia, no new dishes for me this year. I usually cook every Thanksgiving, but this year my dear friend, Tema is cooking at her home in malibu. OH YEAH.....eating turkey and looking at the ocean...it will be so boring!
Hope you feel better my friend! x0x,L

Get well soon Claudia, stay in bed. Hope you are watching the Macys' parade!! Have not seen Joan yet? Joan, wondering if you are on a float??? We have the same weather here, chilly and damp, or else my family would consider heading to the golf course Dan! Made my Cranberry bread, recipe from the Milw. Junior League cookbook! Going to my brother in law that does not cook, the other one is a chef??
Have a happy and safe, Turkey Day. Thanks you all for the many laughs reading the Blog.

Thanks to all for the well wishes! On the road to recovery today, but I don't think I'll be overeating. This is one way to avoid that this year.

Have a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving! love c

Claudia, you are just having such fun with graphics, aren't you?
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. The weather in Milwaukee and Michigan is beautiful (only a 4 hour drive in between.)
