Here we are

We got together yesterday at the Stone Creek coffee shop, again, to sort out what needs to be done for our upcoming reunion that will take place on July 21st at the Milwaukee River Hilton in Glendale. The most important thing right now is to find all the members of our class, and get a commitment from those that wish to attend. (The Hilton wants the money up front, please.) Look for notices via blog, email, or snailmail. If you don't hear from us-- contact someone, please! Also, start thinking about perhaps donating something to the auction.

Anita, Patti, Kathy, Jodie, Peggy, Greta, Bill, Martine

A few things...
Hi to Cindy Luden - she saw the reunion info via classmates and emailed me. She has been on the blog reading.
I went to TJ Aliota's place for dinner and talked to him about the Friday before the reunion (gathering at his bar). He said he'll be ready for us. Dan E. - TJ says "Hi". And by the way, he serves really good food.

I could not stop looking at all your beautiful faces!
what memories, I too like Joan felt very emotional looking at all of you, thanks for the picture and for all of you.
TJs will be so great, how I wish it was next week!!
Well, I will sleep well tonight knowing the reunion is in good hands and I'm here to help in anyway that I can, just let me know.
Yes, Martine you are captivating! It's been 10 years since I have seen you, we speak often, but seeing you was the highlight of my night and the rest of you too!
By the way Peggy, you still look like you you did in Florida!

Aww... you girls are so kind!!
I just wasn't sure that the picture showed the spirit that was there-- It is so fun to get together with everyone-- we're all approximately the same age-- our eyes can't see fine print as well (which also means that we can't see wrinkles in other faces either!) Okay, okay, for those out there that think that they will have trouble distinguishing the resemblance to 30+ years back-- we WILL make nametags with large print including a high school photo!

It was great to see everyone and I can't believe I was there almost 4 hours!

...and still not enough time to cover everything!

Ditto
Such a great picture. Poor Bill the only male!
Sounded like you guys had no fun at all??!!!!

It was a blast to see you all again. As I figure every meeting should not last more than an hour I greatly underestimated the time neccessary to pull this thing off. Do you think the next meeting will require an overnight stay?

Patti Breitbach Rashid said...

Bill, ya made me laugh. Yes, we need to gab less and concentrate more, but need I mention-we are women-talking is our life! The overnight thing isn't such a bad idea....who wants to host the pajama party?

Well, now that you mention it, we do have a change of venue for next month's meeting! Kathy Nelsen is hosting the February 17th meeting at her home in Shorewood.

And I'll have you know that my husband & I were invited over there just this past Saturday after our meeting to visit with her & her husband. This best friend that I have known since 5th grade, graciously had not one, but 2 different kinds of Lisa's pizza delivered, and she had a videotaped recording of Joan's performance on Scarborough Country all cued up for our viewing pleasure!! And to top things off, she packed up the leftover pizza to take home with me to Michigan. Now that is such good pizza that it still tasted good Sunday in Michigan, and even this morning, as I had the last of it for breakfast!! Thank you, Kathy!

I'm definately ready to camp out there next month! Can we bring our jammies?

Ok, so I finally am figuring out how this whole thing works thanks to Martine. When she told me met with you guys I was jealous. The last time I saw some of you was at the last reunion. Hate to be a crasher but I busting in on this one too. Love to see you all again and would love to help if needed.

There was some discussion about getting together for dinner after the meeting for anyone who might be interested. Then we can talk and be misdirected to our hearts content. How about we stay focused and on task for 1 hour and then we can play! Is anyone interested in getting together for dinner. And if so, where? Maybe Lisa's Pizza? Joan, are ya in?!

Anonymous said...

ooh, you're asking a lot--
Actually, Peggy said she had an outline for the last meeting-- that might work, if she pulls it out this time, and we all get a copy....

What a wonderful picture, and you were so cool to call me afterwards, I could not beleive that it was four hours into it, are you sure you were just drinking coffee?? You were having to much fun!. All the meetings I attend are never that fun? Envious that you guys are able to be together. Of course if I were there, I would never go "off task", HA.
Great picture, the coordinated outfit award goes to Peggy by matching the interior.

Everyone looks much better in that photo than they did over the webcam in Skype. Yes I do recognize everyone now. On the webcam everyone seemed, well murky comes to mind. :-)

I won't know for a while if I can come (March?), but it's at the top of my list.

Aloha!

I think the wireless connection at the coffee shop was a little bogged down, hence the murkiness....

Anonymous said...

I think the caffiene caused the murkiness.
Ha

Anonymous said...

I have been murky since I got married and had kids! No caffiene necessary.

Anonymous said...

Now, hold on a sec...
The photograph is not murky

Everyone! I love the comments & I too can't believe that our visit lasted 4 hours ( some of us had 1 bottle of water- plus the cookies Patti supplied us with-thanks!) It was a great time but I do agree we have much work to attend to & as much as I dislike the "administrative-like" terms I definately agree we need to "get down to business" first & foremost. I know this will be difficult, but so much more gratifying in the short run(& long) as time is so precious & we all want this to be a fantasic time for all. That's our goal, so let's stay focused team ! Yeah!

Jeanne Dominski! WOW I haven't seen you in ages but good memories. Glad to see you've come to share glad times. Keep it up & keep it coming. Love, Greta

Hi Greta and Jeanne!
I'm so happy that you are all here! Now Jeanne I haven't seen you since you came to my house in LA, but how is it that you Greta STILL look the same from school?
Jeanne you never change!
