Thank you Anita, for posting this. At first I know some of us felt shy about posting and intruding at a time like this, but in a blog galvanized by Gary's death, we shouldn't be afraid to face loss, and to be there for one another as support during loss. So know -- as you do know -- that we all are here for you.
Love,
Joan
Well said Joan.
The graphic says it all.
Love, Deb R.
Thank you so much for this Anita, and thank you to all who are posting at my dad's obituary. I really had no idea how much this stuff helps -- I'm so dumb about stuff I've never gone through before, and this is one of those things that's so new to me. Your notes here, at the obituary, and the emails I've received -- it is very hard to express how much they mean to me, so for now I'll just say thank you. You guys are so great.
love claud
Claudia, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May his memory always be a blessing.
Jim
Claudia:
My best wishes and thoughts are with you and your family.
I like what Joan said about being there for each other......and, in this case, you (Claudia). Yes, we're here and we care. Our thoughts are with you. We may all be distant from each other......but this little blog sometimes can help.
Meanwhile, I can identify with what you say in the situation being new to you. Claudia, that was the case with me, too, when my Mom passed away somewhat recently. It was imperceptible feeling and difficult. But I can say that I felt better when people came forward with nice gestures, including, for example, Jim Neubauer who came to my Mom's funeral.
Again, best wishes, Claudia.
You guys are just the greatest. I love knowing you again, and can't wait to see you in July.
Thanks and love, c
Claud,
What can I say, love crosses all terminals. Beginnings & endings to a point of togetherness, I would like to think that you have now helped us to conquer all. With very much Love. Thank you
Hi Claudia,
I am writing to you out of the blue but I read on the site that your father had passed away and I wanted to tell you how sorry I am. My father passed away two years ago October and I think about him and miss him every day. I am so very very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.
Irene Diamond
I am so sorry Claudia for your loss. My mother passed away in 2004 and I know how it can hurt. I still think of her everyday and miss her dearly. I am sorry this is late and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Thank you so much, Monica, and I'm sorry about your mom, too. It is still surprising me how affected I am. Don't know why I'm so surprised, but I am. The understanding of everyone in our wonderful class helps, though. Thanks!!
And Irene!! How great to hear from you, and thank you. I can see you in my mind so perfectly.
And Greta! I got your hug from Anita. Thanks, old pal!
Claudia and Irene, My father passed away at Christmas time 4 years ago. I still cannot believe he is gone. One day I was joking with him and having dinner and the next he was gone.
It was a shock to all of us, but one thing I can say is that as the pain passes you will find that he has left something that will make you stronger and more forgiving of things.
Irene, good to hear from you.
I like this, Laurel. And I'm sorry about your dad, too. Thanks.
