Oh Laurel I'm so pleased!! I loved it too. And you know, Greta used to say that the secret member of that group was what'shisname from the Who. Now I can't think of his name, of course! Augh!
It'll come to me.
I find it can take a little time and often more than one or two extra people before I can finish a sentence these days...sniff, indeed!
Last I saw Andy Albright was at the 20th year reunion tour of SHS......and he was in N.C. with his wife.
I don't recall what he was doing, but I do remember we shared war stories from the past.....and about our current running/jogging hobby that we both share.
Claudia - have you ever seen Keith Moon and Andy Albright together at the same time? Hmmm.
Daniel - I talked to Al Lindy's wife or girlfriend (I am not sure if they are married) just before the reunion. He does a ton of traveling with his current job. I thought he would show up that Sat nite but I never heard back from him.
This song about "....the revolution's here...we gotta get 2gether sooner or later ..." "..we have got 2 get it 2gether now.." reminds me of the riots in L.A. & the 'Revolution' being 'here' 'now' is very real (I was car-jacked during that time as well) as I was THERE & the powers that B in this country better do the right thing ..."because we know that it's right...". Hope we R all LISTENING! ;-)
OK, I'm a dork, but I looked online to see what year this song came out --1969! -- and it said Thunderclap Newman was a side project of the Who's Pete Townsend! So Claudia and/or Greta, you were sorta right!

My computer does not allow me to see the image/photo under the "Sniff" headline.
What is it, please?
Happy Thanksgiving!
It's a video of Thunderclap Newman singing "Something in the Air." So sweet!!
Claudia, I got chills listening to that song again! It is one of my favorites and brings back so many great memories.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

lc!
Keith Moon.
But now of course Greta will probably come to the blog and say she never said that...or that she said that on Cramer and Murray or something!
Sorta looks like Andy Albright to me (after he took off his football helmet)......:-)
Oh yeah, THAT's who Greta said the secret member of Thunderclap Newman was -- Andy Albright.
Where is Andy, anyway? He was my first crush at SIS. Even before Al Lindberg.

He looked like he was still 25 when I saw him (!)
BTW, last I saw Al Lindberg, we 'wuz talkin' at the Milwaukee Ale House.
He was behind the counter servin' up the brewskies and told me he was the wine buyer for the place.
However, on my past couple visits to the Ale House, I did not see Al behind the counter.......

Peggy: No. No I haven't. As a matter of fact. (thoughtfully strokes chin)
Daniel: Al at the Ale's. Nice.
