Oh my gosh I'm dying of adorable over here! I see Laurel and Kate and Mary L, but I cannot figure out who the girl on the far left is...please tell!

Do Mary and Kate know about the reunion? And the other girl, whoever she may be??

Story these are fantastic Pics :) Oh my gosh Claudia, that is Marina on the far left but for the life of me I can't remember how to pronounce her last name. I swear Laurel still looks like that into the Camera, lol.

Yes, Martine, it's uncanny how much personality comes through these wonderful pictures. Story, where are YOU?? (behind the camera, of course!) Any of you?

And I don't think I knew this other girl...

That's Marina, her last name is not spelled this way, but it is pronounced "Radisivich."
Story gave these pictures to me when I met her in Milwaukee last weekend.
I just called her to tell her that I've posted them. She still has to eat dinner, so it'll probably be a little later on.

SIXTH GRADE!!
I have a son in sixth grade who is going to school in Mexico this week!

Thats it Anita!!! Well as close as it gets :) And within their whole Family I believe they owned Old Town & Three Brothers.

Thanks for posting these pics Anit.
Allow me to set the scene.
6th grade photography class with Rajski(sp?). By the way that guy gave me nightmares.
Laurel was my main student. I asked her to come flying out the front doors. I wanted to catch her like she was running from a fire, running for her life. What a wonderful student she was.
No comments about the photographer please.
This was your surprise Laurel. Thank you for helping me complete my 6th grade photography project.
Many thanks to dear Katie, Mary and Marina too, wherever you are.

Wow! The memories! Were we all really that little? LOL

Here's a picture that I am sure you will get a kick out of! This guy from Germany was visiting America with his grandson and loved all the kids at Lake Bluff and he wanted to take a picture of everyone. This was at recess time on day! You will see Tony Mussomeli, Jamie Parcher and Kathy Scharner in there too. Just click on my name!

Story you did a wonderful job with your photography project! I love looking at old pictures. :o)

Oh my gosh, those are amazing.
Wait until Laurel sees them
That was Marina Radisovich, she lived on Maryland Avenue I believe.

Monica,
I do see Tony and Kathy. That is a great picture.
I think I had a hat like that white fluffy one.

Anonymous said...

That is Diane Wall in the white fluffy hat. If my memory serves me right, my sister and I had one too, Story. LOL

Anonymous said...

Monica-- what grade was that? What an amazing and eerie picture!

Anonymous said...

Oh yes Story, I had one of those white hats and a matching muffler for my hands to boot, lol.

Is that Mike Pawlak standing on the right in glasses?

Anonymous said...

Yes it is & many other wonderful people from Lake Bluff! thanks so much Monica. I' m going to take a closer look & add to the names! I love it!!

Gee-- how many of us in the white fluffy hat club??
I remember they were so popular, and available in so many different tones of white. Functional, though-- it kept my ears toasty-warm

It was either 5th or 6th grade. But I think it was 6th. And Greta? You are standing behind and just peeking over my sister Monette's head. She is the twin looking down at the little boy there. hehe And yes that is Mike Pawlak standing there on the right with glasses.

What a picture!! Amazing! Who was the teacher? You can see Tony M and Kathy Sharner - how eerie, yet joyous too.
Milton Borman, & Sally Geckler are very obvious as well. WOW - that is so cool.
I had one of those fluffy hats too, mine was two toned, with camel flecks within the white fluff. The ties had white pom poms on the ends!! What a fashion memory that I forgot about.!!!

Why the heck are comments always doubled???????? Am I just lame?

Anonymous said...

Deb you're so lame. Embrace it, baby.

And listen you guys I was at Hartford when this picture was taken and even I can recognize a bunch of these darlings: Eric Western, Jane Levy, Anne Devitt, Jim Loots, Steve Shufton?, Debbie Conway, Caroline Effinger, Jill Salinsky, Barb Hogan, Becky Willis, that pretty girl behind monica who's name begins with J, maybe?, Irene Diamond at the top??, Chuck Nicholas?, Sharon...can't get her last name, right in the center of the picture.

It is a most amazing picture...thank you so much for these glimpses of Tony and Kathy again. Exactly as beautiful as I remember them.

Dunkleman. Sharon Dunckleman.

And who, pray tell, is that hip little boy on the left -- the one with the groovy straight-legs? Oh my gosh, that's Jamie Parcher, isn't it?

An amazing picture, as I said...thanks Monica, so much.

p.s. to Deb: KIDDING, obviously! love you, you lameo.

Anonymous said...

Deb, you're not lame, just IMPATIENT. Click "publish" only once, then WAIT. But don't worry, if it happens again, I'll go ahead and remove it, AGAIN.
You know we love you

The teacher's name is Miss Bullock. I think I spelled her last name right. LOL

I am glad you enjoyed the picture!

Anonymous said...

Where is the little boy with straight leg jeans?

Anonymous said...

He's on the far left...Peggy, have you been to the picture that Monica posted? It's one of those very clever Monica links she does, where you have to click on her name and there's a little treat...love that, M! Anyway, Peg, please go to comment on this post where Monica says to click on her name and you will see very cool picture...

Story, I can't believe you found these pictures, love them!
Also brought back memories of my cousin who was always practicing her haircutting skills on me!
Monica, I too love your little treats that you throw out at us, that picture is so precious.
Well back to packing, moving on Tuesday.

Laurel I loved your haircuts -- you were also so original, are still! Sending out good vibes for your move -- moving is HARD. period.

MOVING SUCKS - good luck.
Is that Leslie Thomas in the back? Holly Tappen??? and how about Brian Casey and Brian Wulz.
Is that Beth Hoffman way way back?

Anonymous said...

I know that is David Coddington far to the right, half cut off, next to Mike Pawlak. And Jenny Schimel <-(sp?) is turned looking at Miss Bullock. And is that Karen Polansky standing next to Jimm Loots and Mike Pawlak? The girl with the short dark hair and glasses. :)

Anonymous said...

Good luck with moving Laurel!

Yeah, "urban" is a great word Joan. Looks like a scene from West Side Story! Only this Story is the photographer!

And speaking of Mike Pawlak does anyone know if he has been contacted about the Blog and Reunion. Last time I saw him was at Gary's wake. Had a very nice conversation with him, I think he might enjoy this. I'm sure he would get a kick out of the Pics :)
