You all look great! That looks like Jed to me.
I was not able to put up our Christmas Picture, because we do not have a scanner. So maybe when I get back from my ski vacation Anita could help me out.
Merry Christmas!

That last comment was from me, Laurel. For some reason anonymous was the only way I could send it.

Laurel-- let me know when you are back from your ski trip--
The blog has somehow reformatted itself, so now you click "nickname" instead of "other" and type in your name.
(I've updated the instructions up on the left side of the blog.)
Merry Christmas to those that are celebrating today!

How is 2008 going 4 ALL of U so far?
GR8 4 me but let's face it, long time in turning 4 the better....waited 4 this turn since 1989!

Susie Fantuzzi Lost Shoesies:

Great to hear 2008 is wonderful.

Indeed 'tis the good ol' days now.

But inquiring minds wonder:

What turn have you been waiting for since 1989?

:-)

Anonymous said...

Hi Anon,
How's it going?
1989 was the year when much difficulty began & lasted til 2008.
Started with a civil litigation my mother's greed brought against me 4 our joint tenancy MDR income property & continued with her homicide, 9.5 years of civil litigation (& economic devastation) suing her murderer, & a car jacking (my 1966 230SL) in June 1992. Another homicide (my
1st FL friend, Dave Haire, in '98) & motorcycle theft, Jeep break-ins X 3 etcetcetc making for a not so happy decade plus.
But, things have changed & that's all 1 can pray 4.
Happy New Year 2008 indeed!
;-D

Oh, Susie:

I'll speak for Anon (whomever that is!) and say your story is touching and important.

So sorry to hear about your mom and the other problems.

BUT glad life is better now and your marriage sounds great. Good for you!

All us Slackers are on your side.

I still remember you in Mr. Ziegler's science class at the SHS Intermediate School -- and you would wear a little red heart on your pants.

Best wishes, Daniel

Hey Dannie Boy,
How's Ur Boy & his Mama?
All of U R GR8 I hope.
I truly may B coming to San Jose 2 live 4 a while but my life is changing so FAST I can't keep up with it all.
Remember that I will B back in Milwaukee July 2008 with Rock 4 the F.B.I. conference Rock is teaching there so mayB we can have another summer ReU then?
My sob story isn't 1, it's a book titled Born To My Enemy (& if I can stop my life long enough, I will try to have it out by late 2008). I'm inviting all of U Slackers to support me when I'm on Oprah chatting up the book so get ready to come to Chi-Town when that happens.
Rocky just got back an hour ago from D.C. in time 4 me 2 C him on his birthday Thursday Jan. 10th (he's old! ;-) so that's good cuz I NEVER C MY OLD MAN!
Again, he promises he's out of the P.I. biz as soon as he wraps the cases he's working now.
Yeah, sure.
He's an adrenalin junkie so we'll C if he's as tired of the race as he claims 2 B.
R the rest of U guys freezing or what?
The weather here is FINALLY getting cool & comfy as opposed to the usual oppressive humidity.
My other Rocky (Rick) is arriving momentarily from OhIo & it was 62 there a few days ago & today, cold.
Go figure. Then we wonder Y we R sinusy & achy in our old bones.
Well, Rocky's OLD bones. Hell, I'm still a 40 something Baby, BABY!
Not as young & cute as Ur baby Momma is tho', Mr. Dan O.
;-D

Hi folks, Happy New Year!
Just stopped by to check in with all of you, and to see what I've missed.
The pictures in the box below are a hoot! I don't know if this is a sign of a remarkable memory or just plain creepy, but I remember Jed Jaworski's Sous Chef shirt, AND that plaid jacket.
And Susie Fantuzzi, your dress might have cost only 39 bucks, but you look like a million bucks in it.
It seems like you have had to deal with a lot of shit for the past two decades and I am happy for you that your life seems to be on an upswing. I'll be holding a good thought for you.
Hope everyone is in decent health and kicking up a storm. I turn 50 next month and I can't believe it, but I keep telling myself that 50 is the new 30. But then why oh why do I have the waist of a 50 year old? (sigh)
Sending you all big love and good wishes for the new year.

Anonymous said...

50 is the new 22!
Who gives a rats ass about Ur waste size; hell, the kidz these days R bigger that we R now.
WOW!
My prediction for the SUsie SUper BOwl was so wrong!
The 'Boys R out of it by 3 measley points!
Can U imagine the fireworks if Rock's team (The Pats) faces off with the Packers on my Bday, Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3rd, 2008 in Glendale, AZ!
I'll have to PRETEND I am 4 the The Pats but I'm a cheese head all the way.....Green Bay

Looks like you might have a Mixed Marriage!

Err:

People are goin' pay $145 per ticket to sit out at 5 degrees F?

http://www.facebook.com/editgroup.php?members&new&m=3&gid=7293422905

As Anita & Claudia know, I have NO IDEA what I am doing but this is the FaceBook.com link to our SHS Class of '76 Slackers there so let me know if this is working.....
Yeah, I have NO IDEA what the heck a SUper BOwl ticket goes for but the game is in Glendale, AZ so it will be WARM there Feb. 3rd, 2008 that lovely SUnday when the Packers will send the Pats PACKING!
;-O

Anonymous said...

Susie:

No, $145 to freeze 'yer keester at Lambeau.

AZ Super Bowl will be twice or three or cuatro the price for a ticket.

As for Face Book, what do you wish us to do with the # you gave us?

I checked Face Book and there's no Slackers with an account if you do a search under "Shorewood High School." It's all kids and no AARPers like us Slackers. :-)

Anonymous said...

Enough is enough! Go Packers! Beat the Giants! & sorry but may the Chargers beat the Patriots ! I love a good upset! L G

Anonymous said...

Amen Greta! A die hard Packers fan here as well. We are Super Bowl bound baby :) However I think it would be great if we beat the Patriots again in the Super Bowl.
Goooo Packers!!!

Anonymous said...

Oh crap!
I have no clue how to do any better at adding our blog to the FaceBook groups if it isn't already there.
I'm not good at many things & techno is one of them.
Have NO IDEA what the SUBO tix cost but bet they R a small ransom.
Rocky is responsible & already has ours from his cronies on the Boston State Troopers payroll.....it's nice to be a Big Shot, I imagine.
Bet Joanie can get BOwl tix if she wants em ;-D

Anonymous said...

I guess that I'm a retard and a social outcast because I'd rather pay a few cents for the electricity in front of the 42" wide screen HD TV than spend $600 on a Super Bowl ticket.

Anonymous said...

$600 for SB tickets??? Think again oh big screen one :) That is the starting price for playoff tickets this wk-end if one is so lucky.
Add another Zero and one will be SB bound. I too will watch in the warmth and comfort of my home.
I sure as heck don't have that kind of moola, plus the replays and commercials are a blast to watch!!!

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?ref=nur

If U go to this URL, U will C our blog as one of my groups to the lower left of the screen when it comes up.
Do ya think Rock would get P.O.'d if I SOLD my SUBO ticket rather than showing up next to him?
I'd rather have the cash & go to Martine's & watch it in comfort!
;-O

Dear Susie,
I'm just learning about this "Facebook" stuff myself, and when I cut and paste this link that you gave, it does, in fact, take you there:
http://www.facebook.com/editgroup.php?members&new&m=3&gid=7293422905
But first, it takes you to the login/signup page-- as soon as you click "log in," you're there.
However, I don't know what would happen if you're not a member, but I imagine it would take you there once you do all the silly sign-up stuff...
For Anonymous,
I don't think that there's a way to look at "Facebook" anonymously, although I've heard it referred to as "stalkerbook" at one of my daughters' colleges....

Anonymous said...

Wow that is very interesting about FaceBook. MySpace works that way; U must have an account to get into the site. R U all as excited as I am about the game tomorrow between the Packers & Giants? My ex, Terry, is a huge Giants fan so he is convinced they will crush the Packers but I told him that the SUper BOwl will be the Pats vs the Packers so he should be prepared to LOSE ;-O

Anonymous said...

Ooops! Terry has the last laugh as it is his Giants vs the Pats in the SUper BOwl Feb.3, 2008 in Glendale,AZ ;-D

Anonymous said...

A ticket broker is selling SUper BOwl tix for $9,399.00
The world isn't wobbling, it's spiriling & in the wrong direction!

Susie, Whatever maybe may be! Now we can hope for others ! Let the wealth be shared. It's gone for me . Best to all others ( By the way- I hate basketball!! So never you mind that!!) I'll just wait for spring- Thank you all!!

Anonymous said...

Spring !! Let's think hard! ( NOT like Ice!!) I would greatly appreciate suggestions for camping this summer in WI ( a place w/ showers, as Don is getting too old for other options!) For myself, I require water & fishing ( a must for me !) I'm asking for help - Please give me your ideas! Thanks! Love G!

Anonymous said...

...what about Michigan?

Anonymous said...

Hi Greta
Try Hayward WI home of the really big Muskies! Long drive but beautiful country.

Greta:

You might wish to contact the tourism dept. in Madison that has free brochures on fishing areas and walk-in campgrounds in n. WI that also have good fishing stocks.

I know a Google search will bring you to the Web site where you can check the publications you wish to receive and they are all free.

The other idea would be to contact the Outdoor Writer at the Journal Sentinel.

Joan Walsh For Vice-President Fans:

Do you know our fab friend is on MSNBC two to three times a week?

Eloquent and articulate (and clean!) Joan :-)
is also on radio talks shows that you can get on Sirius Satellite radio, if you subscribe -- given KQED 88.5 NPR from the Bay Area is on Sirius.

This past week I totally ENJOYED her comments related to the presidential race.

At one point, Spot-On Joan correctly mentioned MSNBC's C. Matthews' and others' repeated campaign to bash Hillary Clinton.

I'm an Obama supporter, and not for Billary Hillary for various reasons (and that's only a recent switch), BUT the media should still have watchdoggies to provide critique.

Joan is performing this function, among others, nicely.

Why am I for Obama?

If you wanna know, please email me, so I don't soapbox here too much.

Cheers to all from rainy CA where our backyard waterfalls off the mountain are so loud you can't hear yourself think (and you have to turn up the volume to hear Joan).

Obama yo' mama: Gets my vote, too.

1. He's inspirational; we need that in our country after seven years of rank incompetency and tragic decisions
(Read the fine new book "The Bush Tragedy," by XX Weisberg. Wondeful.)

2. He matches up better with McCain than Hillary does during a general election debate/contest.

McCain's a war hawk loyalist and Obama never voted to go into Iraq (unlike Hillary).

So the contrast is sharper and that's important for the huge majority of the country that has stated a preference to get out of Iraq.

Note another Obama virtue is his few years of living in a Muslim part of the world (Indonesia) and his middle name ("Hussein") make him a better emissary to heal the wounds of diplomacy in the Middle East/Persian Gulf that are NOW needed after seven years of debauchery and failed tactics there.

3. We need to move on from the old politics and the Bush-Clinton Machine that has governed this country for the last 24 years.

The time for change is now -- and Obama's our best bet to get us out of mess that W. Bush has directed.

As Jimmy Carter said on national TV:
"Worse President Ever."

Anonymous said...

Greta,

If you haven't been to Governor Dodge SP you might want to think about that. Close to Madison. Muskies in one of the lakes in the park. Modern amenities, excellent hiking and tall rock outcroppings. 5000 acres! Check out camping locations and resv on ReserveAmerica.com

I have so much to say, so much to catch up on. Oh wait, I can't now because there is a commotion outside.
Wow! It's a parade for my NY Giants, the winners of the Super Bowl! The best team in the league.
Gotta go throw some ticker tape out my window...

Wasn't the SUper BOwl SUper!
Not to mention I gained a year the same day so it was truly special.
The Giants earned that win & boy am I happy I wasn't at the SUper BOwl (Rocky's friend sold the tix on ebay for some ridiculous price like $4K+ each - good for him!) with a pouty Patriots fan to contend with.
Thank U 4 voicing Ur political views as I always learn from reading opinions of people I value.

Let's see how the other SUper goes...SUper Tuesday that is...
