we thought maybe you would take a canoe and paddle over

Anonymous said...

Oh that's right Anita, we did get a good chuckle on that one.
Greta, next time have your Canoe ready and we will wait for you :)

P.S. Thank you everyone for all the Bday wishes.

Happy Birthday Martine and to Anita, nice to share your birthdays!!! Hope you did something fun????
Remember @ SHS people decorating lockers when it was their 18th birthdays? I remember that - big painted signs that covered the entire locker; thus everyone knowing it was your birthday and giving you greetings in the hallways........I wonder if that is done anymore? A nice tradition. I shared my locker with Barb H, Beth H, & Sharon Z, cause it was always on the 1st floor, central spot! Thus it was decorated 4 times senior year!

Deb you're back!! I've been missing you! How was your trip?

Anonymous said...

Anita & Martine ! Boy I think the river was a little too high to pick you up! However, I'm thinking that maybe next visit the three of us could go together from my house to the Anchorage & back ( the Anchorage is down stream- please keep that in mind! Otherwise you may want a carrier for the canoe back to my place. I'm sure you're both are good swimmers!! HA HA (Martine - that's your line!)
At any rate the upstream paddle isn't too hard. HA ( depending on the time of year!) We'll talk later!

Greta, just how exactly far away are you, up the river from the Hilton?

Will you be arriving at the reunion by canoe?

Anonymous said...

Well Anita, I would estimate that that from my house to the Anchorage would be about 3 miles downstream via canoe. That would mean I would need to hire a gondola taxi driver to take Don & I back home - do you know any?
Unfortunately my neighbors who recently moved had a pontoon boat- that would have been perfect! Darn!
I don't own a motorboat but I do know that Tim & Lori Wick have an Amphibius automobile! But it sounds like they may not make the reunion, from what I've heard . I hope that's not true. Anita hope you B- day was great!
hopefully when all this planning is somewhat settled we can get out in my canoes!

Happy Birthday Anita!!!
Hope your going to have a day filled with stuff you like to do or just a day of nuttin! Have them take you out for a Seafood dinner and just imagine Greta is paddling on by, lol. xox

Thanks Martine!
I've been busy in the yard pulling the Garlic mustard & re arranging the garden & most of all viewing the migratory birds that fly by the river this time of year! I love the springtime.
Some people don't like it because they think the birds are too loud in the early morning. In fact, the birds sing in the city early & late because it's there's too much noise for them to communicate other times of the day- In other words, they can't hear each other!!!!!! GOD WHAT A SHAME!!! In other words " Let's listen" & then we can all hear the music!

hey, Greta-- have you ever tried that garlic mustard
sauteed in butter? It's good-eatin'

Hi to everyone!
I'm sorry it's taken until now for me to post anything on the blog.
Thank you Claudia for creating the blog! Thank you Kathy, Anita, Peggy, Etc. for all the work you've been doing to make this reunion happen!
If it's not too late, I may have some slides of Gary Morrison. I know I have a picture somewhere of Laurel & myself prior to walking the stage on graduation night...I'll look for it.
I look forward to seeing everyone on July 20th at TJ's, or on the 21st.
Talk with you soon!
